Elon Wins 2008 SoCon Baseball Title Outright
Phoenix Claims 2nd League Crown In 3 Seasons

The Elon Phoenix will enter the upcoming 2008 Bennett Hofford Family of Hotels Southern Conference Baseball Championship as the number one seed after winning the regular season title outright with a 19-8 SoCon mark. The Phoenix finished one game ahead of College of Charleston (18-9) whose loss on the last day of the regular season gave Elon the title outright. It is the second SoCon title for Elon in three seasons.
Top-seeded Elon will take on either eighth-seeded The Citadel or ninth-seeded Wofford on Wednesday, May 21 at Joe Riley Park in Charleston, S.C.
